Bristol zoo

I have spent the hole day today at the Bristol zoo, and I think that I have got a very good photo of an ape. The photo is a close up of his face with the reflection of the glass creating a border. The photos properties are, iso 800, 135 mm lens, f/5 and taken at 1/5 of a second.

Have come in to collage today, for to day we had a digital lesson... in this lesson I have created the first draft of my bussiness cards, however after making this I have found that the card is not pratical.

Bristol zoo

Today I when to the zoo, however this time I drew on the map where I thought the best places are for my project. I found that the Gorillas were good for the reason that they create a lot of sympathy because they are so human like.
Also the pygmy hippos are great because for such large animals they have really small living spaces, furthermore the hippos have lots of large iron bars all around them.
Finally the seal’s enclosure is a good place to take some photos because there is a section where you can go underground and see them in the water. This means that I could go down there and take a photo of the seals with some people watching them, also because its under ground it is very dark and depressing.

I am still finding myself sorting through all the photos I have taken.
From the evaluation I have found that I should do closer shoots of the animals face, with distortion from the glass, or the silhouettes of people framing the photo. I am also going to look at taking a film camera, instead of all digital images. Finally I am going to look at the different techniques, which create a good photo.

Birthday

BIRTHDAY !!!
Having a good day because it’s my birthday, lots of presents. However still have to do some work, therefore I am going to go down to Bristol zoo with my dad and take some photos. I am also going to get a membership card because it will be cheaper for the amount of times I want to go.

Evaluation week

I haven’t done any work today because I went to my voluntary work at the Avon wildlife trust; I had not been for a while for the fact that I was working on the project or working towards my interview. The voluntary work is nice because my dad went with me this time and just made it a lot more enjoyable, ☺ really good day.

Have done some work in the sun today, however the work was secondary to the sun and chilling. After the work I had a good band practice because we have a gig coming up soon.

Felling better today, and had a good day at collage, talked to friend about my work and theirs. It was a good thing to do because we can all give and learn form others ideas.

First actual day back at collage.
Have been to collage today lots of work, and I have created a large calendar to show my self the time we have left and what I need to when. However was distracted by friends and did not get as much work done as I would have liked.

I have come in to collage because I though that I would not have any distractions
However I have found that I am a distraction and that I cannot print if I have no printer credits or cash. Therefore I will be leaving after this note, to do some work and some printing.

Longleat

Another sunny day went to see the apes on his island today, didn’t have a good night sleep because I could here the lions and the sea- lions screaming late last night through to the morning. However the sun is shining and I am having a grate time. Sadly going home today. Lots of sorting of photos for the next week, it will be hard.

I am now sat in longleat had a good day of taking photo’s, however now looking at the photo its hard to see the hole captivity for the fact that the place is so large.

Fist Experiments

Just got back from Falmouth last night, long drive got a lot of work to do. Now packing for my trip to longleat, hopefully I will get some good photos.

Falmouth

On my way home now from Falmouth had a good night sleep last night, and I think that my inter view went well. Have had a bit to drink in pre-celebration and haven’t done any work today …..arrg now worrying about lots of work on Friday.

Bristol Zoo

I am now sat in Bristol in the sun after taking about 200 photos; this means that I will have to do a lot of sorting. I still haven’t finished the sorting form yesterday, Therefore I will have to sort through them all on Friday, for I have my inter view tomorrow.

Fist Experiments

Now sat at home looking through all the photos that I had taken yesterday and setting up my portfolio for my interview. I have realized that the work that I am trying to do is a lot harder than I thought. I find that I am distracted at home by my self, trying to talk to every one or even just make a cup of tea. Today I have been talking to my Dad about interviews because mine is coming up in two days.

Bristol Aquarium

Today I have visited the Bristol Aquarium I think the day has gone well, however I will still need to look at my work to be certain of how well the photos came out. I have spent about 5hr down here today taking photo of the fish. Some of the problems I found was that it were a holiday-day and therefore a lot people where at the aquarium, which made my work ten times harder because even when I set up my tripod I would have a small child knocking the camera and tripod, also I found that I was not able to get some of the angles that I would of liked.

End of the research week

over the last two weeks i have found out a lot about my artists, like techniques and style's; all of this has been very useful however I now cant wait to go and try some for my self. This will not be only the artist research that i will do, i will do more as the course goes on.

Research week's

This is now going to be the last of the research week that is in my plan. Therefore i am now planing to go away and start my experiments, for next week.

The research is going well found a lot of information now all i have to do is condense it into my own words and put the information in to some sort of record
